Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme
Your existing generation site
If you have a renewable generation site installed prior to 27th April 2018 you will have already complied with the previous engineering regulation G59. This will have been achieved by the fitting of a protection relay or by the installation of type tested inverters. In both cases you are now required to have the loss of mains settings altered in line with the latest regulations.
What you need to do
It is your responsibility to comply with the Distribution Code and its associated document. In order to fulfil the terms under which you connect to the distribution network and therefore you are required to review and make any changes to your LoM protection settings by no later than the end of August 2022.
The first step is to identify the changes that are required on your site.
Power different can assist with the process, identifying your requirements by a site visit or by referring to documentation that was produced at the time of commissioning/maintenance. We can then make the necessary changes for you.
There has been an incentive fund setup which can be accessed via the ENA (energy networks association) which you may qualify for. The fund has been introduced to encourage early action, however it is mandatory to make the alterations before the end of August 2022. After that date system owners who have not made the changes may be subject to enforcement programme.
Call us or fill in the enquiry form today for assistance and let power different take care of the changes you need to make.
